What ASEANX is
ASEANX is a network that helps trusted advisers, business owners and buyers find each other across borders. We make introductions. We do not act as an adviser, broker or agent on any transaction, and we do not provide investment advice. ASEANX is for people aged 18 or over, acting for a business or organisation.
Information on the platform
Posts are written by the people who post them. ASEANX does not audit, value or warrant that information, and you should check anything you rely on with your own advisers.
If you post
- You confirm you have the authority to post the business, and that an adviser posting has the owner’s agreement.
- You use a codename and do not put identifying details in what buyers can read.
- You can name firms you do not want introduced to. We keep the post from the firms we can identify from what you write, so their buyers neither see it nor can ask about it. We look again when a new firm applies, but a firm we cannot identify from what you write, or one that joins under a different name, is not covered, and we cannot promise otherwise.
- If you are an adviser, you give us the name and email address of the owner you act for, and you confirm you may. We write to the owner to confirm before the post goes live, and it does not go live until they have agreed.
- If you cannot carry on, our team may share the post with a colleague at your firm, who can then answer the requests on it, or hand it to them.
- If an introduction takes place, you treat the buyer’s name and anything else we release to you as confidential, and use it only for that introduction.
- Our team reviews every post. We may ask for changes, decline a post, or take it down.
If you are a buyer
- Access is by approval. We may refuse or withdraw it.
- You treat everything you see on ASEANX as confidential and use it only to consider an introduction.
- You do not try to work out who is behind a codename other than through an introduction we make.
Introductions
An introduction happens only when both sides agree. What you agree with each other afterwards is between you and the professionals you appoint.
Currencies
Revenue, EBITDA and the value sought are shown to buyers as ranges, in US dollars, converted at an exchange rate on the day the post was approved. The rates are indicative and are not a valuation. Rates by Exchange Rate API.
Cost
ASEANX is free during the founding period. We will tell participants before any charge is introduced.
